After work at .dott.werk

Friday, 19 August 2022, 6pm – in the context of (Un)Learning Perspectives

Two people meet and have something to tell each other. What does your reality look like, what drives you, why do you do what you do? How can your “normality” expand my “normality”?

On 19.08.2022, the last after work beer (Feierabendbier) at the .dottwerk before the FAVORITEN Festival will take place from 18:00. This time the Dortmund landscape architect Usha-Moni Naskar and the stage and costume designer and fashion designer Sylvia Straub will meet.

FAVORITEN Festival welcomes three new productions

The festival is approaching and we are very pleased that, thanks to short-term funding commitments, we have the opportunity to show three more artistic works that have been close to our hearts for a very long time at this year’s FAVORITEN Festival. New to the programme are the “one-to-(n)one”-performance Nobody’s There by Hofmann&Lindholm, the video work I Don’t See Colour by Akasha Daley and the Zoom-performance Allegedly by Mallika Taneja.

Programme – FAVORITEN 2022

The programme for FAVORITEN festival 2022 is online!

It was an exciting year in which we travelled the country for FAVORITEN 2022: We have experienced a lot, were able to witness wonderful artistic works and would like to thank you very much for this.
We fell in love with NRW’s independent scene and were now faced with the task of making a selection from all these special experiences, in which unfortunately only a fraction of these impressive works could find space.

In numbers: We saw over 500 works last year and can now “only” give 30 positions a place in the programme, which is about 6%.

The glossary of (un)learning is opened!

FAVORITEN 2022 deals with forms of learning and (un)learning. In order to get a better idea of what this can mean in reality and on location, we will be exploring the festival’s spatial and thematic neighbourhoods in advance and holding discussions…

Workshop-Day

Sunday 29 May, Theater im Depot (Werkhalle) – in the context of (Un)Learning Perspectives

(Un)Learning Perspectives is a format of the FAVORITEN Festival that focuses on experts from different fields and their knowledge. We want to learn from each other and include perspectives from outside the artistic field: from care workers to activists to mushroom researchers. Their perspectives will be given a platform before and during the festival in the form of workshops, tours and roundtable discussions.

Declaration of love to the independent arts scene in NRW

Dear independent artists of North Rhine-Westphalia,

we love you – and we’re heartbroken.

It’s been an extremely exciting year, travelling across the state for FAVORITEN 2022: we have been through a lot with you, been able to encounter some wonderful art works and been able to see you, listen to you and you’ve given us some remarkable experiences.
