MediathekDeutsch / EnglischBegehbarer digitaler Raum12+

Pawāaraibu is a multimedia series in three parts. The narrative is based on the perspective of an artificial intelligence traveling around the post-human Earth. Visitors move through the cosmos of the beings that remain, who convey their story in form of a musical.

Episode 02 – wandering the archive exists as a virtual environment that can be visited with a computer and travels to an environment without time-space mapping. The environment is based on 3D scans generated from video footage captured by a drone. There are four scenes in which it is possible to travel through fragments of landscape exploited by surface mining. Visitors move freely as avatars through the virtual environment and explore it.

Episode 03 – mines of the glacier is a browser-based Mozilla Hubs experience. In three scenes, new cycles are imagined as a consequence of human influence on nature, using different protagonists. The starting point is a melting glacier cave, the symbiotic superbeing the lichen, and a technosphere in which the physical body gradually dissolves and any form can be assumed.
