archiveofmyselfasmyancestors is a series of photographic re-enactments of family photos of Bochum-based artist Esther M. Siddiquie. The originals were taken in present-day Bangladesh between 1950 and 1971. In photographs by China Hopson, Siddiquie slips into the roles of her male ancestors.
