Solid Liquid
Katharina Senzenberger
SOLID LIQUID uses a posthuman-feminist concept to examine different aspects of liquidity / fluidity on a political and material level. In their alter egos “Sassy Sartre” and “Kikki Kamikaze”, that function as liquid identities, the performers search for resistance within their very own bodies. The performance utilizes a CamModel-aesthetic, that creates a space within which positions of power are constantly debated and binary entities such as subject and object appear liquified. This liquid notion of power materializes itself not least in the form of the stage space, which is transformed by just a few litres of water, leaving nothing to hold onto. Where water has broken loose, it permeates all structures and bodies, incorporates everything and turns fixed assumptions into slippery misconceptions.
